This vintage distance measuring unit was produced in Freiberg (DDR). It is usable directly for maps with following scales: 1:30 000, 1: 50 000, 1:100 000, 1: 120 000, 1: 200 000, 1: 600 000. Of course you can use it for maps with another scales too, but you need to make additional calculations. Longer time stored items, never used. Working condition, really nice shape. Due to longer storage the fixing glue on the dust protection covers, covering the measuring unit from both sides, is already exhaused, so it is unstable and may fall out on some of them. If that happens, you just need ot add a very small amount of glue for plastic and it will hold you there for another decades. Zero button on the top of the handle is working, sometimes you need to push harder or several times to get the pointer back.
